Kangana Ranaut-starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns saw a decent opening and collected over Rs 8 crore, at the domestic box office on Friday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet said the movie garnered Rs 8.75 crore on the domestic box office, while he pegged the overseas collection to be around Rs 3.50 crore. The analyst expects the number to multiply on Saturday.

Trade website Koimoi.com, which estimated the movie’s first day collection to be around Rs 8 crore, said that the film performed best in North India, East Punjab, and Delhi/UP circuits
“The multiplexes as well as single screens made equally good business. Considering the hype the film has created around itself and its positive word of mouth, the movie is surely going to see a growth today and tomorrow,” the website said.
“Tanu Weds Manu Returns” is a sequel to 2011 hit film “Tanu Weds Manu”. Directed by Anand L. Rai, the sequel marks the return of the whole cast of Kangana, R. Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill, Deepak Dobriyal, Eijaz Khan and Swara Bhaskar.
